Ruby Rocket Guest Designer - August Moon

I am so excited to finally share what I have been working on..

In January I was lucky enough to attend CHA.

While I was walking around checking out all the fabulous new goodies
I ended up doing a make and take at the Ruby Rocket booth and
met the beautiful Rachel Carlson as we sat there we talked about
scrapbooking and crafting she was in the process of looking for
guest designers!! I submitted some of my past work that
very night.

I was notified a few days later I was one of the lucky ones!!

I was given the complete line of "AUGUST MOON"
I loved this paper line as soon as I had it in my hand.

Here is my first creation. A one page layout. I love the
look of this. I used four of the papers from the line
using both sides I made a few pinwheels. I used
lots of pearls to create half circles.

For my second creation I altered a wood frame from Michael's.
I used my cricut to cut out flowers and inked them. I used
my Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies and of course
I added some pearls and used a few scraps of ribbon from
the collection.

And now for my third creations...
I used this beautiful mini album. It is pretty much done for you.
So easy for a quick gift add photos and a few embellishments.
I used up the remaining pearls, scraps of ribbon and paper.
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
(This paper line just yelled out butterflies and vintage to me)

Here is a look at the whole book.

The inside pages...

I used my Tim Holtz pinwheel die.

I love the simplicity of this mini album.

I used a couple of the tags that came with this line
to create my title base and tied them together.

I love the tags that come with this line...they can be used
for added detail.

I used up the stickers I had left on these pages.

Butterflies and pinwheels are every where on this book.
I love it!!

I hope I have inspired you in some way!
I have enough scraps and paper to make a couple of cards...

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hope you will join us this week...It's a great way to get started
on your holiday cards.

This week has been a very busy week for me...I decided to give
my scrap room a make over!!!
I was only going to paint then, one think led to another...
I now have (almost done) a beautiful room to create in.
I have the BEST husband ever!! He totally let me do and buy
whatever I wanted/needed (Thank you honey!!)
I will post photos as soon as it is complete.
I am hoping the new room gives me lots and lots of inspiration
to create.

Have a great day!!

Christmas card challenge week 16

Happy Sunday!
It's been a cold and rainy weekend here in sunny
southern California!! a perfect weekend to stay
in and be creative.
This weeks Christmas card challenge is to make a shaped card.
I decided to make a Christmas ornament shaped
card. You cant see it in the picture but, all the
white is filled in with stickles and the sentiment
is pop dotted up. I even got my sewing machine
out!! the sentiment is from CTMH .

You can go here to play along in this weeks challenge.
Come join the fun and get your Holiday cards
done early!

I have to say this card looks much prettier in person.
For some reason (lighting maybe) I could not
take a good photo to upload.

If it's raining in your area stay dry and why not
stay in and play along.

A fun sketch...

Happy Thursday!!
It's so cold outside today I just want to stay in my pj's and craft!!
I made this layout a few weeks ago and I am just
now getting around to posting it!
I didn't even link it to the challenge (that's how behind I am).
I am so far behind in my postings...I had a couple
post scheduled that NEVER posted :(
For this layout I used CTMH Lucy paper pack.

Here is the sketch I used...
My sweet crafty friend Kim has a monthly sketch challenge.
You can use the sketch for a card or for a layout (like I did)
You can check out her blog here and check out this months
sketch and play along...

Have a crafty day!!

Christmas card challenge week 15

Happy Sunday!!
This weeks challenge is a photo inspiration.
You can go here to play along.
Come on you know you want to get started on
your Christmas cards for the year and what better
way than to do one or two or three cards a week or
every other week depending on how many you need.
Here is the ispiration.

And here is my cute card!! ( I think its super cute!)
as soon as I looked at this inspiration photo I thought of
this cute little stamp from Sparkle Creations rubber stamps.

I used my copics to color used some stickles and martha stewart
glitter for the cupcake, some fun new metal bling and ribbon
from CTMH.  I didn't use any dp only cardstock (that's very
rare that I do that). and I used my spellbinders for the oval
shape and pop-dots (which you can't tell I used in this photo).

Hope you all have a crafty creative day!!
