Fun in the Sun - BSC30

Here is my card for this weeks sketch challenge.
I used Reminisce - Summer Solstice paper, I paper pieced her towel using the back side of the paper (first time I've used that technique). The sentiment was already stamped on the ribbon (I got it from my lss).
I gave her a green bikini...I thought this needed another color...I like the contrast. I used copper stickles to create sand under her feet.

Below I have posted the sketch...so come play along and send me a photo of your card so I can post if to my blog. It's very easy!! just pick your paper and use any stamp set you want.

This card sketch is hosted by Jamie...I look forward to playing every week.

Thanks Jamie for another great sketch!!

Have fun ladies and remember just be creative and have fun!!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with....(come on Julie you can do it too!)

See you later!!

San Diego - 2 page Layout

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend!!

I've neglected my blog for a couple days...I haven't really been in a creative zone!! so much to do not enough time.
This is a 2 page layout I did of my weekend in San Diego (I will have a couple more pages to add to this...we went to Sea World)

I used CTMH serendipity paper, the layout is from Imagine I also used my cricut opposites attract cartridge. This is a pretty simple page...I didn't use to many embellishments (that's a first) LOL!!

Here is a closer look at the left side of the page...

Posted by PicasaRight side of the page....Now that I see these on the blog I think they are a little to plain!? hmmm maybe I'll add to this later.
Have a great evening!! I maybe back later...I think I've got the creative bug again!! I'm waiting for our color challenge from Margorie...as soon as she posts it I will play then I will post whatever I made. It may not be till wednesday...I'm going to Disneyland on Tuesday!!

Today's color challenge was to use kiwi, topiary, watermelon & blush...
This is what I came up with!! I think she's cute.

I used CTMH inks, the solid card stock is CTMH and the DP is from making memories, sentiment is CTMH June Word Puzzle.

I love these color challenges...come play!! If you don't have the exact colors use colors that are close or just use what you have...two different pinks and two different greens.

I still have Marjorie's color challenge to do...this one has me stumped!! I just keep looking at the colors on my desk hmmmm!! I think I'm going to do a layout for this one. I have so much to scrapbook I don't know where to start!! Since it is cold and rainy here I think I'll just scrap!!

Have a good evening!

Marjories Color Challenge #18

Here is what I did for Marjorie's color challenge #18....I never thought I'd get this one done!! This was a true challenge for me.
The color challenge was to use pink carnation, baby pink, kiwi and key lime. I only had baby pink card stock so I made my own background paper using all the ink colors. I used playful flourishes, delight in everything and friendship blessings stamp sets. I also use brads and covered them with stickles.
This is a picture of my niece Paulina...isn't she beautiful!?
I'm glad I played I really like the way this turned out and I LOVE the colors!! see what happens when you play with different colors! Thanks Marjorie!! I look forward to next weeks challenge.
Sorry the picture isn't so good...my camera is ready to die!! I'm taking it in today...I really want a new one...
Have an awesome day!!

Father's Day Card

This card is for Julie.... she challenged me to make a Father's Day or Graduation card. So here it is Miss Julie. What do you think?

I'm not really a "masculine" card maker...I like all the pinks, flowers, ribbon, glitter and all the bling bling you can use on girly cards. This card is missing something (to me) everyone that has seen it loves it...hmmm I guess I'll have to start making more "manly" cards.

Anyway, I used ctmh June word puzzle for the ties and the word, the paper pack is Majestic Blue (ctmh) and the inks are crystal blue, desert sand, and outdoor denim.

This is all I've done today...I have the inks out here for Marjorie's CC they are pink carnation, baby pink, key lime and kiwi...let me tell you this is truly a challenge for me!! I like all these colors I just don't know about using them together (although Marjorie's layout is absolutely beautiful using them together) should I do a card or a layout? I will play with these later and hopefully have something posted for this sometime tomorrow.

Have a great afternoon!

Pat

This is what I came up with. Love the Bella's....I can't stop playing with them!!!
I am truly addicted (my house is a mess and I haven't showered!!!) I want more Bella's!!
